How to seamlessly (no transition) splice video segments

Postby Kurt » Sat Oct 07, 2017 4:08 pm

Hello all,

I have a video that I split into two parts so I could process one part of it externally. I wanted to splice them back together in OpenShot but I couldn't find any way to do it that didn't insert black frames in between the two videos. I dropped them into the project. I dragged them onto a track (I tried having them both on the same track and also on different tracks). They are snapped together on the UI one right up to the next one. No matter how I manipulate them, I can't get the second half to start the frame after the first. There is always a couple tenths of a second of black frames

I processed the second half externally because I wanted to run it in fast motion. Is there a way to do that in OpenShot where I wouldn't have had to split the video up?

Not Sure where my reply went...
Openshot can do this, split the clip into two. Right click on the one you want to play faster and select time. there is a "faster" option to speed up speed.
