Error running Openshot 2.0.6 on Debian 8.3

Postby Grey Area » Sat Feb 27, 2016 10:57 pm

Hello,

I've built & installed all the dependencies (I think!) by checking out openshot, libopenshot & libopenshot-audio with bzr but I'm getting the below error when launching Openshot:

Code: Select all
mattb@bench:~/downloads$ bzr branch lp:openshot/2.0
Branched 589 revisions.
mattb@bench:~/downloads$ cd 2.0/
mattb@bench:~/downloads/2.0$ python3 src/launch.py
Loaded modules from current directory: /home/mattb/Downloads/2.0/src
      logger:ERROR Traceback (most recent call last):
      logger:ERROR   File "src/launch.py", line 53, in <module>
      logger:ERROR from classes.app import OpenShotApp
      logger:ERROR   File "/home/mattb/Downloads/2.0/src/classes/app.py", line 41, in <module>
      logger:ERROR import openshot
      logger:ERROR   File "/usr/local/lib/python3.4/dist-packages/openshot.py", line 28, in <module>
      logger:ERROR _openshot = swig_import_helper()
      logger:ERROR   File "/usr/local/lib/python3.4/dist-packages/openshot.py", line 24, in swig_import_helper
      logger:ERROR _mod = imp.load_module('_openshot', fp, pathname, description)
      logger:ERROR   File "/usr/lib/python3.4/imp.py", line 243, in load_module
      logger:ERROR return load_dynamic(name, filename, file)
      logger:ERROR ImportError
      logger:ERROR :
      logger:ERROR libopenshot.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Seems to be complaining about libopenshot.so.7 which is installed to /usr/local/lib/libopenshot.so.7.

Also, when I try to install I get the following error.

Code: Select all
mattb@bench:~/downloads/2.0$ python3 setup.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "setup.py", line 32, in <module>
    from setuptools import setup
ImportError: No module named 'setuptools'

Thanks,
