Creating Tooltips In Openshot 1.4.3

Postby XXLRay » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:35 am

Yet another tutorial. This time it is about how to create custom titles in openshot 1.4.3 where title templates are not suitable:

Don't hesitate to ask for subtitles in your language at the video's comments if you need them. I will do my very best.

NICE!!!!

Another approach to similar effect can be export key frames (e.g. ffmpeg -i file.mp4 -r 1/5 filename%03d.jpg) and use a XCF with two layers at Gimp. The lower layer is the key frame. Then, you lock that layer and work with the other one to add the tooltips.

When you're good to go, select the key frame, unlock, and make it invisible. Save the file as transparent PNG, as it will merge just visible layers.

I like it a lot this other method too, as you can use the power of libreoffice :-)

THANKS!

Wow, I really prefer the ffmpeg method to do this. I wasn't happy with Gimp though. What do you mean there is no arrow tool? That's just stupid.

I ended up using Inkscape instead.
