Demonstration of OpenShot Video Editor at Kent LUG

Postby danellisuk » Thu Mar 04, 2010 10:42 pm

UPDATE: Sorry these videos are no longer available. Somehow my Youtube account was deleted. Youtube re-activated the account, but the videos cannot be restored. After linking my Youtube account to my Google account a second time, it has again de-activated!

I did a 20 minute demonstration of OpenShot at our local Linux User Group in Kent ( http://kentlug.org/ ).
I uploaded a screen-cast of the demonstration to YouTube. Part 1 and 2 respectively:-

It was very well received. Unfortunately we had a low turnout of about 10 people this month. This was because we were expecting a power outage at the location we meet, so many regulars skipped this meeting. Those that did turn up were very impressed, and a number of them thought it would be worth while doing a screen-cast for those that missed it. So yes, I think they liked it.

You'll have to do a new one now for the new features in 1.1 ;)

May I say a big thank you to you for taking the trouble to help us all. I found the video very easy to follow and a great start for a newbie like me.
Thanks once again.

www.archive.org is a repository for works, which is free. In turn, archive.org is mirrored by the Great Library of Alexandria. Set up an account, and you will have one address that will last for generations to come. Then, if you want, upload your works to other locations, knowing that no matter what happens to other sites, your archive.org address will always be available. Hope to see your fine videos back online soon. happy holidays!

This would be a great feature to add to OpenShot.
