Hi,
I've seen that my question has been asked before in this post but it's very old by now so instead of bumping it I created a new post (I was "raised" with the forum etiquette to never continue or bump a post older than 1 year).
I couldn't find it either in the changelogs or in the manual or in this forum or in the several youtube tutorials.
I would like to be able to vary the audio levels/volume in one track.
It happens often that I have video with audio (of course) and put a background music track below it. Next to that music track I also put multiple narration (voice over) tracks to the project. It is (for me) really a requirement to be able to lower the volume of the music track during the narration, like "fading" it from 70% to 20%, and when the narration is finished, bring it back from 20% to 70% (70% or so because I want it to be "background" music).
Note: I know that I can do this within pitivi, but I like Openshot (much) more than pitivi.
Note that this question is not the same as the "waveform feature request" (off topic: and I would prefer to see this feature as the normal "bar" representation of the track as it currently is, where the waveform representation can be enabled with a right-click option on that audio track).
I did not see my question about the variable volume level in the feature requests either: Do I need to post this question as a feature request?
EDIT: I mentioned "It is (for me) really a requirement to be able to lower the volume of the music track ....". I certainly don't mean that I require it from you developers. I kindly request it (or a workaround). I meant that with regard to my own workflow.
