How do you manage audio levels?

I'm new in OpenShot, and I'm still exploring the software capabilities. But the section where I found more difficulties is the audio management. I realize there are no audio keyframes, and I wanted to know if this option is programmed...
I also have some problem in setting the total audio level of a single clip. In the properties>audio window I found the default audio already at 100%, and sometimes i would need to going high.
What's your experience with audio management in OpenShot?

Don't worry, us too. Here the only personn which knows Openshot like nobody is Jonathan, same us which are working on don't know all on.
You can see in more details in the properties of a clip tab audio. It will help you a little, i think.

FWIW, here's how the Windows freebie "VideoPad" (http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/) does it:


Here we see a Canon SX1 1080p30 MOV test clip on the timeline twice, with a blank clip between them. Timeline preview is top right, the clip preview is top center... but because I've clicked on the audio track for clip 1, the audio envelope is shown for the clip (which as the green section shows, is slightly shorter than at first because I moved the start/end points in a bit for that clip). The yellow line can be clicked on to add a red spot which can then be dragged around to change the volume - here I've made it fade in and out.

Hum interresting. I don't know this logiciel and i understand better that you have sad before. For the moment, the clip properties tab audio is the more evolution that we have for audio. Before to do that we must work on the in and out points with precisions. Does use it the images (b,i,p frames )to determine with precision the lenght of the audio clip or the time in between two points ? or another thing ?

PiTiVi is a pretty nice FOSS video editor & it handles audio levels quite well. Audio channel is split out & you can drag a red line around to adjust levels.

Currently, in OpenShot, it looks like we can only Fade in (and/or) out for ?? no. seconds. This will work OK most of the time I suppose.

Hi,
That's right that Pitivi have a good approach about the sound. I know that two members are working (in their waste time ) about audio and i believe that it is Moimael who is working on this but i am not sure now, i have none contact since a while and i know that he is working on something else currently. So, in all cases, this features are some greats features who ask a lot of time. The poll have given us a lot of tracks to work and we work all on some features since so patience, it will come when................it will the moment (hum it is a Debian answer that );
