Video Glitches on fade in/out

Hey Guys,

Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this issue...

When I set a video to fade in or out, I often see the first frame of the video, before it begins the fade... similarly at the end with a fade out. It happens with pictures too (and audio - see my other post!).

The flashed image also often has a different layout (if I've moved it down, it appears where it was on import) and for a transparent image (png or SVG) can appear non-transparent.

Any thoughts?

Certainly a bug of MLT. What's your version of MLT ? 0.44 ? If i had an advice to give you, it's trying the last version 0.4.10, she resolved a lot of problems but not all. They are going to prepare another version for resovling all the bugs that the precedent version have not done. call Yauba but she is not yet ready. For the 0.4.10, you must compile it.

I experienced the same clitches I think on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZHUXzrG8As which was my first attempt at using Openshot. Overall though, I was extremely impressed with it. I love the use of SVG for titles.

A user have created a ppa for having the last version of mlt (actually the 0.5.5) and you could find it here :

I'm seeing this same problem as well. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 with OpenShot 1.2.2. I even tried upgrading MLT to 0.5.10 from a PPA (https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-release) and that didn't help. How do we troubleshoot this?

edit: I found that this in fact is not a solution, by the grace of God, I happened to get something right, and I now have no idea how.

you need to move that fragment at new (clean) timeline
