sample screen

Postby fritsmartfu » Mon May 16, 2011 6:58 pm

Since I upgraded my Ubuntu to 11.04 (Natty) 64 bit, the sample screen of Openshot remain on the foreground.
When I open Openshot first, and then some other program, or browser, or what ever else, the Openshot sample screen remain visible and functioning. When I move the other program over (or behind) the sample screen, the other program flashes through the sample screen. Both individual programs seems to function normal. When I limit the new programs size outside the sample screen, both programs function normal.
Because of all programs makes the same effect on Openshots sample screen and because of Openshot functioned without problems on the former Ubuntu (10.10) I think that something between Openshot and Ubuntu 11.04 do not cooperate.
How can I make Openshot cooperating with all other programs?

Thanks in advance!

I would suspect it's something to do with the Unity desktop in 11.04, there seems to have been quite a few issues reported running Openshot on 11.04. I wouldn't expect any quick fixes.

Thanks Andy for your reply. You could be right. One of the first things I did was switching back to "the old desktop style", but the Ubuntu program code remain, I think.
Switching back to "the old desktop style" is possible in the Ubuntu log-inn screen, next to the language choice.

Openshot remain just as good as Openshot always was, only the use of Openshot is because of the new Ubuntu a little more difficult.
The only problem with Openshot is, that it seems not possible to donate direct to a simple, trust-able international (European-Iban) bank-account!
