Installed, worked, then stopped working...

I've installed Openshot 1.4 on Ubuntu 11.10. It worked and made a 20-min video successfully. After exporting to an mgeg file, closing and then reopening, Openshot no longer opens with the user where the video was made and exported. By logging into other users, Openshot works fine, as it did the first time no matter the user.

I have reinstalled, uninstalled & installed. Neither approach allows the user who made the movie to open Openshot again.

Any suggestions of what I need to do with repositories, the user, Openshot itself to allow the first user to gain access to his file again?

You should do several operations :
First upgrade to the last version 1.4.2.

Secondly upgrade your version of MLT :

After run Openshot in a console to see what type of error you could have (if there is an error of course )
