I made the transition to use in a video. What do you think?

Hi,
It looks great but like this it won't work. :?

I explain. A transition must be in 720x576 in format either png, either pgm or in svg. She must contain too icon, a medium in 120x96 and a small in 80x62 all in a png format. :o

I have done a first try , convert it and create icons but it doesn't work. I know why and do the modification later. I must be off and I'll do that this evening. Soon as it will good, I'll open a bug request and we'll put in after testing it. And obviously, she'll be include in the next version of Openshot 1.4.3.

Have another title for this transition (better than 6b) ?

Thanks a lot. ;)

Hello,
The way I used to add the transition was the following: I opened the OpenShot, Menu: File> Import new transition
and the program automatically generated the icons. :)
Looking the folder of transitions, some of them are in 1080p (Fractal, Hatched, Hourglass, etc).

The name is 6B because it has 6 bars, I have no creativity for names :? , if you have any suggestions is welcome.

At last a video of the transition working :D

PS: Attached copy of the folder / home / USER / .openshot / user_transitions with the transition and the icons.

Ah ah that 's good point. :D I should know that. :o

I have done another try with an new project and this is working.

I opened a new bug report here : https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/964079.

I called this one 6 bars. If you 'd like another title it is not a problem, either you can put a comment on this bug report either you tell us and we'll do the rest.

I would like to know what tools/software have you used for creating this transition. Personally, I'm using The Gimp and Inkscape.
I am also interested how do you realise this greayscale. Currently, I am not able to realise that and it is the result that I would like to obtain. Could you explain me ?

Anyway, Thanks for all. ;) :D

@Andy.

I have put this one on the milestone 1.5.0 and not in the milestone 1.4.3. I suggest that we should include this one (and some others => titles animated 3d) on our big milestone. I'll said you more soon.

So to make this transition, I used only the GIMP.
1- I split the screen width 1920/6 = 320px
2- I made one bar with the width 320px and applied the gradient.
3- Finally I duplicated the bar (x5), and organized the layout.

Sorry for bad English in the explanation, any questions not hesitate to ask.

I thank you for this excellent video editor ;)

I'm working on some more transitions, I wonder how it is easier for you: forum post or directly via the launchpad?

Thank you in advance :)

In png format, me too. And Inkscape for svg when png and pgm are not working.

2- I made one bar with the width 320px and applied the gradient.

Ah me too but I don't obtain the same result. It was why I asked you how do you do for this result.

Sorry for bad English in the explanation, any questions not hesitate to ask.

Don't worry for that. Me, I am French and my English is not good.

I thank you for this excellent video editor ;)

Thanks we are happy to see that our works give you some pleasure (and help you ) to use a open-source software for your passion who is ours too. :D

We prefer Launchpad if you have an account on it and here if you don't have one. Launchpad is our development platform for the project.
