Otherwise (and despite) I'm loving this program!
Do others have this experience? Is there a way to eliminate the sound rather than try to cut it out? (when I cut it out the next segment is distorted)

It does pretty good, considering, but seems to insert a rather loud segment of static near the beginning of the video. When I try to cut out the static or trim off the beginning of any video, I seem to frequently, but not always get distorted sound.

Is an example of the static - not openshot's fault, but would like openshot to help get rid of the static segment (in first 1 or 2 seconds and then again about second 36 when I put another video in and at 1:14

Openshot being used in Denver. Basically, the only video editor that I seem to be able to figure-out.
