Audio Glitches

Postby MikeAshelby » Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:12 am

Hi,

I've been having some problems with Audio glitches when a clip starts or ends (more often with a spliced mp3 I was using as a voice over)

Is anyone else having this?

It was sometimes fixed with fade in/out, but sometimes not...

Otherwise (and despite) I'm loving this program!

Okay i have search a lot and found it here : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=203.
With all this posts. :? I was a little lost.
The new version of MLT is the 0.5.0 since two days. Don't forgot to remove MLT (libmlt and Openshot of course) and check in /usr/local/lib and /usr/lib repertories if you look mlt* and libmlt*. If it's positive remove this files. After you could compile it without none problems. :D
And reinstall Openshot after. The new version 1.1.0. will be go in few days. So be patient.

Audio Glitches

Postby DenverDave » Tue Nov 22, 2011 1:25 am

I've been taking videos at Occupy Denver rallies with a very inexpensive camera. It does pretty good, considering, but seems to insert a rather loud segment of static near the beginning of the video. When I try to cut out the static or trim off the beginning of any video, I seem to frequently, but not always get distorted sound.

Do others have this experience? Is there a way to eliminate the sound rather than try to cut it out? (when I cut it out the next segment is distorted)

Is an example of the static - not openshot's fault, but would like openshot to help get rid of the static segment (in first 1 or 2 seconds and then again about second 36 when I put another video in and at 1:14
http://youtu.be/6JCqvHtC2Os

Openshot being used in Denver. Basically, the only video editor that I seem to be able to figure-out.

I don't know if it will resolve your problem but you can de-activate Audio of a Video Clip clicking on the Audio icon.

With Our future "big" version2.0, Openshot will bring a lot of features for Audio. Stay tuned.

Thanks - I'll look forward to the next major release, as I'm sure all users will.

I've looked around with other video editors, but unlike openshot where it operates as one would guess, while other editors .... don't

Can you provide details of the file types that you have the problem with, or better, provide a sample?

Hi,

You should update your version of MLT following this FAQ : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1861
It is the best thing to do waiting our own library Libopenshot that you could have a look at Scale 11X (if you are at Los Angeles of course). Take a look here for more informations : http://www.openshotvideo.com/2013/02/are-you-ready-for-scale-11x.html
